The Awesome Ambitions 25th Anniversary Celebration was a huge success!

Because of your gifts, Awesome Ambitions raised more than $300,000 to help 8th through 12 grade teenage girls in the Greater Kansas City area discover and make a plan for their lives; and become future leaders and philanthropists.

The Oleta Adams performance was one of the signature moments of the night. As sang and played the song, Hero, Awesome Ambitions girl, Riyan Jones, walked on stage and gave her testimony of how Awesome Ambitions transformed her from a shy girl afraid to speak up to a confident girl using her voice to advocate for social justice for others. 

 

Kirk Whalum’s performance was inspiring. With John Stoddart on piano and Whalum on his saxophone, the audience was treated to his jazz and gospel jazz hits.  Whalum commended the audience for supporting Awesome Ambitions.
